This national project has been established through support from the Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Foundation and the Australian Associated Brewers Inc to provide practical assistance and resources for schools wishing to hold Alcohol Information Nights and a forum where schools can share their experiences. Individual events in one state or region, or even groups of events, may also be sponsored by other not-for-profit groups, and we would encourage those who do so to let us know – so that we can acknowledge there assistance here.
Australian Associated Brewers Inc (AAB) is an industry association for Australia's manufacturing brewers. The Executive Director and staff are based in Canberra - the nation's capital. The AAB Inc represents Australian brewing, as an industry, in legislative and regulatory affairs, and are closely supported in that work by an active Board. The Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Foundation Ltd (AER) was established as an independent public company in October 2001. AER received a $115 million grant from the Australian Government to address prevention, treatment, research and rehabilitation for the misuse of alcohol as well as paint, petrol and glue sniffing.
